"La réelle beauté des choses ne se remarque que très rarement au premier coup d'oeil"

Un homme et une femme qui habitaient à des kilomètres l'un de l'autre et qui correspondaient par Internet tombèrent en amour. Comme ils désiraient ardemment se voir, ils décidèrent de prendre l'avion jusqu'à Chicago et de se rencontrer à l'aéroport.

Pour pouvoir se reconnaître dans la foule, ils établirent un plan: La femme porterait un foulard vert, un chapeau vert et elle aurait un oeillet vert épinglé à son manteau; comme son avion arrivait un peu avant le sien, elle serait à la barrière et l'attendrait.

À sa descente de l'avion, l'homme commença immédiatement ses recherches. En quelques minutes il aperçut une femme qui se tenait un peu à l'écart de la foule et qui portait un foulard et un chapeau verts. Un oeillet vert était épinglé à son manteau. Le découragement l'envahit. C'était un des visages les plus ingrats qu'il eut rencontré dans sa vie. Il était presque prêt à repartir immédiatement sans même aller la voir.

Mais comme il s'était engagé, il s'avança vers la femme, lui tapa sur l'épaule, lui sourit et se présenta. Sans hésitation, la femme jeta: "Mais de quoi s'agit-il ? Est-ce pour une émission de télé ou quelque chose du genre ? Je ne sais pas du tout qui vous êtes. Cette femme, là-bas derrière la colonne m'a donné vingt dollars pour porter ces choses. Elle a dit que c'est important." quand l'homme se tourna vers la femme qui se tenait près de la colonne, il aperçut une des plus belles femmes qu'il eut jamais vu. L'homme s'approcha d'elle et ils se présentèrent.

Plus tard, au cours de la conversation, elle expliqua sa ruse: "Toute ma vie les hommes ont voulu me fréquenter ou être mes amis, à cause de mon physique. Je suis considérée comme une très belle femme. C'est pourquoi j'ai entrepris une relation par Internet. Je voulais rencontrer quelqu'un qui m'aimerait pas seulement pour mon apparence mais pour celle que je suis intérieurement."

In his descent of the plane, the man began at once his searches(researches). In some minutes he perceived a woman who was a little held away from the crowd and who carried(wore) a green scarf and a hat. A green carnation(eyelet) was pinned to its coat. The discouragement invades him(it). It was one of the most thankless faces that it(he) had met in its(his) life. It was almost ready to leave(restart) at once without even going to see her(it).

But as it(he) had undertaken, it(he) advanced(moved) on the woman, typed to him(her) the shoulder, smiled to him(her) and appeared. Without hesitance, the woman threw(cast): " But about what it is? Later, during the conversation, she explained her guile: " All my life the men(people) wanted to frequent me or to be my friends, because of my physical appearance. I am considered as a very beautiful woman. That is why I began a relation by Internet. I wanted to meet somebody who would love to me not only for my appearance but for the one that I am inside. "
